Signet 2552 Field Wireable Connector

When properly tightened, there will be

approximately a 2 mm (0.08 in) gap

between the two end rings.

Plug Connection

The plugs are joined by holding the main body on each connector and gently

mating them together while lining up the alignment tab and notch on each.

With inward pressure, grasp the rings at the ends of the plugs (silver on male,

large black on female) and twist in opposite directions to engage the threads and

tighten. Engagement should be smooth.

Tips to remember when making your own cable:

1. Maximum total cable length = 300 meters (1000 ft).

2 Keep the number of cable connectors to a minimum.

3 Use 22–18 AWG (5–6 mm) four conductor cable with shield for best signal transmission.

4 Make sure the cable connector is assembled properly.

Bare Shield

Strip off 20 mm (0.78 in.) of outer cable jacket.1.

Strip off 7 mm (0.27 in.) of insulation from the end of each of the four colored wires.2.

Cut off 10 mm (0.39 in.) from bare shield wire.3.

Unscrew connector from body. Use a small screwdriver to connect the wires.

If using non Signet wire, Pin Number = Wire Number Assignment.
